This algorithm segments secondary (i.e., abdominal) raw RIP signals into timestamped inspiration and expiration events.

In the presence of dual respiratory inductance plethysmography signals, the lower (i.e., abdominal) band may be contaminated by significant motion or posture-related artifact. This algorithm uses both signals and the existing breath onsets (from the upper band) to supervise breath detection for the lower one.
