Involute Internal & External Gear Profile Generator

Creates highly customizable involute gears (both ring and spur gears). Creates .avi video of mesh & .dxf drawing of each gear.

Creates involute gear profiles in .dxf format, video of rotating meshing gears in .avi format, MATLAB plot animating meshing gears, and .txt files for import to SolidWorks. Supports internal (makeIntGear()) and external (makeExtGear()) gear profiles generated from true (not approximated) involute parameteric equation. Allows for very in-depth modification of gear profiles including parameters such module, number of teeth, pressure angle, addendum & dedendum variation, profile shifts, backlash ajustments: flank rotation & nominal tooth width reduction, and tooth fillet. Includes a function for checking gear mesh interference.
