1D scalar equation of convective-diffusion transport with piecewise linear approximation
The MAIN script solves the 1D scalar equation of convective-diffusion transport with piecewise linear approximation.
The user can choose the standard Galerkin approach or the Full Upwind scheme.
The FEM parameters such as the number of finite elements, the number of Gauss integration points and the boundary conditions can be easily chosen.
Moreover a nonlinear source term s(x) can be taken into account and once the problem is defined, an analytical solution is automatically evaluated by means of the symbolic Matlab toolbox and compared with the numerical one provided by the method selected.
The functions and the examples are developed according with Chapter 2 "Steady transport problems" of the book "Finite Element Methods for flow problems" of Jean Donea and Antonio Huerta.
