The model can be used to predict the incedence of most infectious diseases, and the fitting and forecasting performance are relative good. The detail of developing the GRNN model were shown in the paper : 'Application of a Combined Model with Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) and Generalized Regression Neural Network (GRNN) in Forecasting Hepatitis Incidence in Heng County, China' PMCID: PMC4892637 DOI: 10.1371/journal.pone.0156768.
