The figs give a qualitative inference, whereas to make a quantitative decision regarding the level, we get the list of row edges (Corres to water level and base) from MATLAB for each bottle .
The 9 th value of the o/p file r.mat represents the Water level.

The input images (blue_bottle1, 2, 3) and the code are available
The code is simple but the HPFs have to be tuned for each type of bottle and background.
