I am Asst. Prof. within the Department of Software Engineering at Technical College, Kirkuk, Iraq. From September 2013, I am enrolled on a research programme leading to a PhD degree at Sheffield Hallam University, UK. The research is concerned with developing new methods for image compression appropriate for robust structured light 3D reconstruction and texture mapping. The work is focused on 2D image and video image compression, comparative analysis with existing methods and 3D image analysis.
