My name is Jackson Merkl and I am a Sophomore Aerospace Engineer at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I have a very strong interest in the process of vehicle design and simulation and am very passionate about learning and using different skills to create something new and unique. More importantly, I enjoy using my knowledge of how things work to create programs that make difficult tasks more accessible and convenient to those that need to complete them. I am currently involved in different organizations ranging from solar racing teams to graduate missile design competitions to cultural organizations and love getting the opportunity to apply this knowledge as well as the chance to learn from others in different fields as well. Professional Interests: Aircraft Design, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Simulation, Systems and Controls, Flight Dynamics, Propulsion, Materials Science, Solar Energy, Organic Chemistry
