Find OPC UA server node by namespace index and identifier

Syntax

foundNode = findNodeById(nodeList,nsInd,id)

Description

foundNode = findNodeById(nodeList,nsInd,id) searches nodeList for a node whose NamespaceIndex and Identifier properties match nsInd and id, respectively.

This function might query the server for further descendants (children) of nodeList.

Find Node Using Namespace Index and Identifier

Create an OPC UA client object and connect to an OPC UA server on the localhost. Find the ServerCapabilities node in the server namespace identified by Index 0, Identifier 2268.

Input Arguments

nodeList — List of nodes

array of node objects

List of nodes, specified as an array of node objects. For more information, see opcuanode.

To search the entire server namespace, specify nodeList as uaClientObj.Namespace.

nsInd — Namespace index

integer

Namespace index, specified as an integer.

id — Node identifier

character vector | string | integer

Node identifier, specified as a character vector, string, or integer.

Output Arguments

foundNode — Matching node

node object

Matching node, returned as a node object.
