Dopo aver stimato un modello, è possibile validare se il comportamento del sistema è riprodotto entro limiti accettabili. Si può quindi iterare tra il perfezionamento del modello e la validazione fino a trovare il modello più semplice che cattura meglio la dinamica del sistema.
