For R2013b and earlier, MATLAB and other products cannot be downloaded through the MathWorks Product Installer. The product files must be downloaded prior to running the installer.
Please note that your license may not allow you to download earlier releases of MATLAB. You may be able to discover this by attempting to follow the directions below.
To download MATLAB for R2013b and earlier:
Once you have your Platform selected, you can then follow the Installation Instructions that are located below the Product list.
For all releases R2010b-R2013b, every individual product has two separate downloads, for example "MATLAB 8.2" and "MATLAB 8.2 (common)". Both downloads are required in order to install each product.

If "Select Release" does not appear at that page, then your MATLAB Central account is not associated with a MATLAB license that is permitted to download previous releases (for example it might be a MOOC licenses... or you might not have associated with any license at all.)
In order to download previous releases of MATLAB, you (or your school or workplace) need to have purchased a version of MATLAB that is as new or newer than the version you want to download.
