packet transmission in matlab code

hi

i am working on developing a routing algorithm for wireless networks.i have written the matlab code. Now i have to check the performance of my proposed routing algorithm by actually transmitting the packets between nodes.how can i do so in m file or i need a simulator for that???

please help
