Can anyone explain the procedure for "Early Late Gate Time Recovery"?

Hello friends, i need to know the functionality of that block. What input need to be connected and how can we check the outputs Sym & Ph.

This Early Late Gate Time Recovery block is related to Communication Toolbox -> Synchronization -> ELGTR.
