creating a 'console' application in Matlab 2013a for Mac

Dear

When using a windows version of Matlab, i can either create a 'Standalone' application or 'Console' application when using the deploytool. However, in my Matlab 2013a license for Mac, the 'console' application option is not available.

Is it possible to use it nonetheless?

On non-Windows platform, the 'console' application is renamed as the 'standalone' application. More information can be found here:

You can go ahead and use 'console' application option.
