Matlab R 2014b MAC OS 10.10: Mouse Cursor disappears in Simulink

Hi,
I'm using Matlab R2014b (8.4.0.150421) on MAC OS Yosemite 10.10.1 .
For example if I open the Simulink Example 'vipldws' and enter a subblock the cursor is hidden for a period of time. If I move the cursor outside of the Simulink window it becomes visible again. As I just found out this behaviour appears also when switching from desktop to fullsize Simulink window.
Does anyone else has this kind of behaviour?
Cheers Matthew
Edit: Also occurs when pausing the simulation. Maybe memory problem, although systemwise enough memory is available.

Yes! Exactly the same thing is happening to me.

Looks like we are the beta testers for MathWorks :-).

The same thing is happening to both me and my colleague. I guess that the problem is associated with the trackpad of my Macbook because it is not happening when I use a mouse. Is there any other update or response on this issue?

I'm also having the same problem, and use the track pad exclusively. Also, I'm running OSX 10.9.5. When I first open a model all seems ok, but when I run a model my mouse cursor disappears when hovering inside the model window during the simulation. Once the simulation stops, it's still missing. I haven't figured out how to get it back with consistency.
edit: actually, if I stay with it, it does come back eventually, but it's very annoying.
I am having the same problem... Any news?
This problem still exists in R2025a on macOS 15.5.

update, I've been having some luck recently hitting Esc after clicking into the model window.

"update, I've been having some luck recently hitting Esc after clicking into the model window."
This one worked for me! Thank you!
This problem still exists in R2017b, mac OS 10.13.2.And, yes, hitting Esc a few times (still) helps.
This problem still exists in R2019b on macOS 10.15.4.
The solution that seems to work is hitting Esc.
