System freezes when using matlab app

When I use the matlab app, when I import data from the folder, whether I exit the interface or open a file, the entire operating system will freeze directly and cannot exit. It is safe to import data only in the workspace. The system I am using is ubuntu1604 and the matlab version is 2021b. I'd appreciate it if someone could help me.
