Simulink Prefererences problem

I need to change some settings in the Simulink preferences. Mainly, I don't want simulink to limit the data points of the time array to 1000. I went to file, preferences, Data Import/Export, and I unchecked the "Limit data points to last ___" box. I hit apply, but it has no effect. I can't even change the font and size of the blocks.

So it seems that when I hit apply, the settings are not changed. This seems like a really silly problem. What am I missing?

What version of MATLAB/Simulink?

when I type "ver" it saysits Matlab 7.12.0 (R2011a). It does not list "simulink" exactly it only lists the following:

Simulink 3D Animation Version 5.3 (R2011a)

Simulink Coder Version 8.0 (R2011a)

Simulink Control Design Version 3.3 (R2011a)

Simulink Fixed Point Version 6.5 (R2011a)

Simulink HDL Coder Version 2.1 (R2011a)

Can you check the top of the output of ver? Usually "MATLAB" is the first line and "Simulink" is the second line.

Tried "Ok" instead of "Apply"?

Is it that any setting that you modify isn't updated? i.e. font and limiting points saved are only examples?

Hi,

It is my understanding that you are not able to save the modified settings in MATLAB. Try regenerating the MATLAB preferences to troubleshoot the issue.
