Assigning a calculated value to a resistor

Greetings,

I have been trying to allocate the calculated varying electrode resistance value from the Mask to resistor R, when I try to create a variable to assign the value on I get the error message "Unrecognized function or variable". Is there a way I can use to assign the calculated electrode resistance to resistor R? Please help.
