2014b editor: How do you move file from one side to the other in left/right view?

5 visualizzazioni (ultimi 30 giorni)
Hi
I've got the 2014b editor setup for Left/Right view and each side has several file tabs. I'd like to see a file the right side instead of the left. I tried dragging the tab for the file from the right to the left tab area but the editor wants to create a third window with this file. I'd like to maintain one file displayed on the left and one file displayed on the right, yet Matlab wants to show two on the left and one on the right.

Can you attach a screenshot? I can't quite visualize what you are describing.

Hi Ken
Sure, here are some screen shots.
The highlight of the image below shows the file GapFill_mex that I'd like to move to the left side.
The next image shows Matlab creating a new window for GapFill_mex when I wanted it to put it in the same window as createAndSavePingPacketsForEvmEmulation.m. I'd like it to preserve the one on the left and one on the right view format. Simply put, I'd like a tab to select GapFill_mex on the LHS like I had when it was on the RHS.
I've tried dragging the GapFill_mex tab to different locations on the LHS and it always wants to create a third window. Furthermore, I can't seem to undo what the third window.

When you drag it over, move the mouse around the pane before releasing. Wait until it highlights the outer border (usually around the middle)

Doh! Never thought of trying that. I was so focused on moving the tab to the tab area.
Many thanks to you and Ken!
