will lasFileWriter become available for Compiler in the future?

when using Application Compiler on a script that includes lasFileWriter I get the following error:

Warning: Excluded "/usr/local/MATLAB/R2022b/toolbox/lidar/lidar/lasFileWriter.m"; reason: The file or function has been excluded from packaging for the "MCR" target environment according to the "Compiler" license.  Either remove the file or function from your code, or use the MATLAB function "isdeployed" to ensure the function is not invoked in the deployed component.

My question is, is that something that will be fixed in the near future (then I can just leave it for now) or is this something that will not be possible (then I will start implementing an alternative library).

In general we do not comment on future plans. If you would like MathWorks to add support for lasFileWriter in MATLAB Compiler in a future release please send an enhancement request to Technical Support directly using the Contact Support link under the Get Support heading at the end of this page.
