How to get a streaming audio in matlab.?

I have developed matlab program to detect silence segments in the audio signal. But my task is to get the streaming audio and find the silence segments continuously.I have no idea about that, so please give some ideas

I don't have DSP system Toolbox... is there any other way to process audio signals in streaming?

Audio System Toolbox since R2017b.
Before that, if you did not have DSP Toolbox then you would have had to use Data Acquisition Toolbox.
