guys i need help it says that it cant identify the handle.app.UIAxes3 being that the app.Axes3 is the name of the current app designer folder im working on plz help

Looks like you forgot you were in AppDesigner and reverted to GUIDE programming. In App Designer you use app, not handles. So instead of handles.app.UIAxes3 you would just have app.UIAxes3. Don't use handles anywhere in your App Designer program because handles is only for GUIDE.

ok so it worked thefirst time then i get this error .another thing when it worked the first time i imported the image it opened the image in a seperate tab not in the interface that i designed how to fix that problem ?

app designer constructs its graphic objects such as axes as having handle visibility off.

When you call a graphic routine such as imshow and you do not tell it which parent to use, it searches for the active parent. However the search does not look for objects that have invisible handles. You activated an axes as the current axes but because it has an invisible handle, imshow will not find it.

When you use app designer, you should always tell it which object is the parent.

Look further down in your code. See how you passed the axes to plot()? Do the same thing for imshow.

By the way, you asked plot to plot the character vector 'a' without giving it any coordinates to plot. The character vector 'a' is not a valid color name abbreviation or line style or marker shape abbreviation so plot is going to assume it is a named option and then fail because there is no value associated with the option.

If you were trying to draw an image, then you would use imshow() or image() or imagesc() not plot()

also i just want to say that when i imported the image fisrt tiem it worked then i added a new image but the changes still happened on the first on i didnt understand the issue

sorry for dusturbing another thing is that the fisrt tiem the button and the left interface worked well for importing and all that the second time i tried it it stopped working eventhough i didnt change a thing
