What are the equations to calculate Efd_base and Ifd_base of non-reciprocal p.u system in Synchronous Machine Salient Pole model / Electrical/ Simscape?
I don't understand where the value of Efd_base comes from according to the model
Field circuit base values, Efd, Ifd (exciter model, non-reciprocal pu system):
v = 73.1018 : V % Instantaneous voltage
i = 1000 : A % Instantaneous current

Hi Miguel,
As per my understanding, you want to know what are the equations that are used to calculate base values of field voltage ‘efd’ and currents flowing in the field circuit ‘ifd’.
As per the documentation of Synchronous Machine Salient Pole Block, the following equation is used to calculate field voltage ‘efd’.
Currents flowing in the field circuit ‘ifd’ must be set in the block parameters. It will be set as 1000 A by default.
I hope this helps resolve the issue you are facing.

Thank you !!
This equation is for the fundamental parameters. Very well !!! Thaks again.....but
What is it for standard parameters?

Hi Miguel Montilla,
As per my understanding, you mean standard per unit-parameters as standard parameter.
As per the documentation of Synchronous Machine Salient Pole Block, the Park transformation is used to define the per-unit synchronous machine equations.
I hope this answers your queries.

Ok
What is it for standard parameters?

Dear Belavignesh
I will try to explain what I am doing.
I have placed the standard parameters (in p.u) in the synchronous generator block:
Ra=0.04; Xl=0.15; Xd=1.05; Xq=0.7;X0=0.15; Xd'=0.35; Xd''=0.25; Xq''=0.325; Tdo'=5.25; Tdo''=0.03; Tqo''=0.05;
When I search for the associated base values with "Display Associated Base Values". I find this:
Rotor base values:
wMechanical = 37.6991 : rad/s % Mechanical angular speed
torque = 2.65258e+06 : N*m % Torque
Field circuit base values, Efd, Ifd (exciter model, non-reciprocal pu system):
v = 73.1018 : V % Instantaneous voltage
i = 1000 : A % Instantaneous current
The next step is to find the fundamental parameters (in p.u) from the above standard parameters and place them in the synchronous generator block:
Lad=0.9; Laq=0.55; L0=0.15; Ra=0.04; Lfd=0.2571; Rfd=5.8465e-4; L1d=0.2; R1d=0.0354; L1q=0.2567; R1q=0.0425;
Again I look for the base values associated with "Display Associated Base Values" I find this:
Rotor base values:
wMechanical = 37.6991 : rad/s % Mechanical angular speed
torque = 2.65258e+06 : N*m % Torque
Field circuit base values, Efd, Ifd (exciter model, non-reciprocal pu system):
v = 72.1791 : V % Instantaneous voltage
i = 1000 : A % Instantaneous current
Why are the Efd values bases different? Are the equations to calculate them different?
Best regard
Miguel
