I want to know if the "Translational damper" in the above picture be taken place by the "Contact damping" setting in the "Double acting hydraulic cylinder" in the picture?

Hi yanshu,
I understand that you want to compare the "contact damping" of "Double-Acting Hydraulic Cylinder" and the "Translational Damper" block.
The "Translational Damper" block uses the equation
Inside the "Double Acting Hydraulic Cylinder", a "Translational Hard Stop" block is used. See the Image below for the schematic.
This block uses the "Contact Damping" parameter to calculate the Contact Damping as well as the Contact Stiffness using the equations:
Hence the "Translational Damper" block provides Constant force through the damper for a constant "v" but the "Double-Acting Hydraulic Cylinder" only generates a force when the slider is penetrating into the lower bound or upper bound. Depending upon your application this may or may not be used. But these two blocks are not entirely replaceable.
You can refer to the MathWorks documentation of "Translational Damper", "Double Acting Hydraulic Cylinder" and "Translational Hard Stop" below for more information:

Hope this helps!
