Let me guess. EBD = Extremely Bad Data.

That would seem pretty common. Only once in my career as a consultant did I ever have a client who ever gave me far more data than I thought I needed, so Enormously Big Data seems an unlikely source of the acronym.

Or maybe, this is a request for an EBCDIC file. I remember them, from a time long ago, in a land far away.
