Where can I find documentation for how sparameters are actually calculated

I am using sparameters() of an rfantenna object and was wondering if there was any documentation regarding how the calculations are actually performed. All I have been able to find so far is the help center page which only documents how to use the sparameters function and nothing regarding how it handles calculations.

As an example, I know when using the built in antennas from the toolbox, varying antenna dimensions with respect to the maximum simulated wavelength can significantly impact simulation time and I would like to have a more in-depth understanding of why and how this happens.
