after matlab gui start, all windows and menus are unreponsive. Running R2023a on Ubuntu 20.04

Installed with a trail license last week. Ran OK for a few days, then on Friday last week, starting matlab resulted in a non-responsive GUI. Nothing responses to a click or keyboard input.

I had to completely remove Matlab and reinstall, by then, I had a full license and it worked fine. Not sure if it was the trial license or the install that was bad.

There are few things that you can try to resolve the issue.

1. Restart MATLAB: If you haven't tried this, try closing and re-opening MATLAB to see if solves the issue.
2. Restart your PC: In a few cases, a simple restart of your system can solve issues with unresponsive software. Restart your PC and then try opening MATLAB again.
3. Reinstall MATLAB: If the above steps don't work, then you can try uninstalling the current version from your system and then download and install the latest version from the Mathworks website.

I have done 1 and 2 already, but it does not fix it. I tried to do 3, but matlab says I cannot install it again, I must follow the reinstall instructions and gives me a link. The link does not work.
