- Open the “powergui” block and make sure the “Simulation type” is discrete.
- Navigate to “Preferences” tab.
- Expand solver details for nonlinear elements.
- Enter a large value in the Maximum number of iterations.
When I do load flow analysis it is not converging?

When I do load flow analysis of a 31 bus power system model ,error as "unable to converge in 50 iterations is shown".Is it possible to increase the number of iterations .I have done in simulink

Hi,
I understand that you are encountering the error message “unable to converge in 50 iterations”. This issue is occurring because the number of iterations required to converge is more than the max iterations limit defined in “powergui” block.
Please follow the steps mentioned below to resolve this problem:
Please refer to the documentation attached below for more information.
I hope this resolves your issue.

As a side note, as it might happened to other people:
I was getting the "unable to converge in 50 iterations" error until I noticed that the frequency was set to 0 instead of 60 (or 50, depending on your use case)

This step does not work for me. I am using Kundur two area system with induction motor as load in area 2. Any other possible solution for it.
Thank you.

There is a switch between a three-phase power supply or three programmable AC power supplies and the distribution network. loadflow does not consider the switch, and the calculated power generation and consumption are inconsistent
