Accelerometers with I2C connectivity can be connected to an I2C master device such as a Raspberry pi or Arduino. The master devices can then be connected to a host machine running MATLAB.

For example, the BMA220 model can be employed and connected with MATLAB through any of the above mentioned host devices. The answer linked below also suggests this, along with some guidelines regarding the usage of the availablesupport packages.
