I have tried to install MatLab (R2023b) on my Linux Mint machine several times now, but every time I end up activating the Activation Key I get the same error 2,753 I dont really understand. I dont run Matlab on any other Machines yet.
What does the MATLAB startup prompt, or what is exactly meant by that? How could I fix this?

Hey Mike, I have just encountered the same error... did it work for you?

First off: if you were installing the license server facilities, then the resulting MATLAB would not need to be activated -- because the steps to install the license server would already have involved downloading the license file onto the server.
However, if that was what was happening for you, then I would expect a different message that what you are seeing.
Secondly: it is possible to get a license that is configured to use a Mathworks-hosted license manager. I am fuzzy on the details of how that works, but I know it exists -- it is, for example, one of the strategies used to license cloud computing instances. For those kinds of licenses, you would just log in to your MATLAB account and MATLAB would talk to the Mathworks-hosted license manager to authenaticate the usage. Based on the message, I suspect that is what is happening for you.

How I solve it?
Error 2,753: This license does not need to be activated. To start using this license with MATLAB, sign in to your MathWorks Account at MATLAB startup when prompted.
