Hello Community,
I am currently trying to connect my Arduino Opta PLC with Matlab using the "arduinosetup" comand, but it doesnt work out, because within the setup I cant select the Opta as such (see on the screenshot). I can only choose Arduino boards like the UNO, NANO, etc.
My idea was to set up a Simulink model of a heat exchanger, which is reading in sensor data from my Opta. Hence I am trying to set up a USB connection between the Arduino Opta and Matlab in order to read in the temperature data of a few sensors. The Opta is running a typical Arduino IDE code, which reads in the analog volt signal from the temperature sensors, transfers these values to actual temperature values and prints them in the serial output.
--> So my question now: Is it possible to connect the Arduino Opta to Matlab/Simulink the way I just described or should I proceed differently?
Let me just say I am a beginner in that matter and thus not really experienced.
Kind Regards
Julian

Hi Julian,
A possible reason for Arduino Opta Board not showing up in the dropdown is that probably it is not currently supported by MATLAB.
Please refer the following documentation which specifies the list of boards which are currently supported:

Hi Divyanshu,
Ok, thank you for the information!
But is there another way to connect the Arduino Opta Board to Simulink?
Kind Regards,
Julian
