Hello, I'm not able to edit (rename, copy, or delete actions) components within the MATLAB App Designer (MATLAB R2023b) on Fedora 39.
The same issue appears for three fresh installs of Fedora 39 and MATLAB R2023 on different computers.

Hi Ariosky
There are couple of options you can try on your system to resolve the issue:
  1. Run MATLAB as Administrator: Try running MATLAB with elevated privileges to see if it's a permissions issue. You can do this by launching MATLAB using sudo from the terminal.
  2. MATLAB Preferences: Sometimes, MATLAB preferences can become corrupted. Try resetting MATLAB preferences to the default settings.
  3. Graphics Drivers: Since App Designer is a graphical tool, ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Incompatibility with graphics drivers can sometimes cause issues with MATLAB's graphical interfaces.
  4. Compatibility: Verify that your version of Fedora is officially supported by MATLAB R2023b. If Fedora 39 is not supported, consider using a different version of Fedora or a different operating system that is supported.
I hope the above information helps!

Hi Ariosky,
If you're looking to run MATLAB on a Linux operating system, it's important to note that MathWorks has validated MATLAB on a specific set of Linux distributions, which can be found on their MATLAB System Requirements for Linux page.
You can find the System requirement for R2023b using the following link: https://www.mathworks.com/support/requirements/matlab-linux.html
While your particular Linux OS may not be listed, MATLAB could still operate effectively if your system meets the necessary Linux kernel and 'glibc' version requirements. However, keep in mind that MathWorks may offer limited technical support for unlisted operating systems.
For detailed system requirements and supported compilers for earlier MATLAB versions, you can refer to the following page: https://www.mathworks.com/support/requirements/previous-releases.html
I hope it helps!
