how to obtain "4-level tree-structured wavelet decomposition on gray image", and is it possible to save each node values in separate variable so that i can compute features from the node value... please do help me

See for example http://www.mathworks.com/help/wavelet/ug/wavelet-packets.html and notice the "level" variable.
