I connected a Kvaser CAN device to my Virtual Box guest OS, but now I cannot access it in MATLAB on my host OS

I am using an Oracle VirtualBox environment 7.0 running Ubuntu 22. I added a USB filter to catch my Kvaser CAN device. This worked perfectly and I can now interact with the Kvaser CAN device from the Guest OS. However, when I reattach the Kvaser device to my host os, the channels do not appear after running canChannelList.
I have tried turning off the USB filter on VirtualBox, plugging the Kvaser device in and out again and turning both the guest and host OS off and on again. The CAN channels are listed in the Kvaser Device Guide when I run it on my host os, so I assume that the problem is got to do with MATLAB.
I would like to be able to switch between running the device from my guest os and running it from my host os.

The issue was simple. I hadn't turned MATLAB off and back on again so the Kvaser device wasn't listed as available to use.
