Why can't the Scope read data in Simulink after disabling signal logging?

When using Simulink's external mode to communicate with the DSP, I don't want to log any data during communication, so I disabled signal logging.

However, I can no longer observe signals in the Scope during communication. How can I resolve this issue?

This not the expected behavior. You should be able to observe the signals in the Scope block even if you disbale signal logging. Could you provide some sample code that replicates the behaviour? This would help me understand the problem and assist you in debugging the issue.
