Solving a complex coupled pde

Hi everyone, I’d like to solve the following pde numerically.

u and alpha are the unknown functions. Phi_s = \partial u \partial z * constant. The other parameters are just constants. Is there a way to solve this kind of equation? Thanks in advance!
