real time decimating

I'd like to build a filter/downsampler that would operate real time as data is pulled into matlab. Asking for some pinters. Thanks.

In the MATLAB evironment, you could use a System object, dsp.FIRDecimator for example.
Specify your FIR filter as the numerator property of the System object.
