I am working on Fault diagnosis, so can any one help to find how to generate a manual fault in power electronics switches

Hello Sir, I am also working on Fault diagnosis (open circuit fault), so now do you know how to generate a fault in power electronics switches. Could you please help me? I'm working on the open-circuit fault in Boost DC-DC converters in Simulink.

You can open the switch for considering the open switch fault and connect both the legs for a short circuit fault.
