Arduino Uno WiFi Shield examples

I'm having trouble running the example found here: http://www.mathworks.com/help/supportpkg/arduino/examples/using-wifi-shield-with-arduino-hardware.html

In the Arduino TCP/IP Send, I set the Configuration Setting for Arduino Uno. I set the IP Address to the address of the WiFi shield, set the SSID to the WiFi that my computer is using and set the WPA password. The upload was successful. However, when I ran the TCP/IP Host Receive, the program simply froze, forcing me to restart Matlab. Has anyone seen this problem and know how to fix it? Something wrong with the settings? Do I need to update the firmware on the WiFi shield?
