How to "Increment val & run section" with values defined in function files that are separate from GUI script?

I wrote a GUI script which calls functions defined in separate .m files. When I run the script, I find that I may need to modify the positioning and size of GUI elements, defined by functions located on the same file path as the script.

Currently, I need to make changes in the property's respective ML function file and then run from the script to see changes. However, I would like to be able to modify the function file and see changes without having to run the entire script while using the "Increment value & run section" tool.
