i applying gabor filter to dicom image and displaying it with the following command: dicomwrite(uint8(gabout),'1g.dcm')

it is not giving any error but the image is too grayish... is there any other command to display it correctly. I shall be thankful...

What is the range and size of the uint8 version of gabout?

range(uint8(gabout))

size(gabout)
