How to insert a pushbutton into a user interface, that will show the maximum intensity projection of the last image that has been clicked on by the mouse?

I have an interface for dicom images, that shows axial, sagittal and coronal view of the image set separately. I want to insert a pushbutton which on clicking, will show the maximum intensity projection of the lastly, image that was clicked on by the mouse.
