Reduce size of MCR installation on disk?

I am deploying matlab code compiled to java onto a web server. I have installed the MCR and I am wondering if there is a way to delete unnecessary files from the installation to reduce size on disk?

Thanks for pointing out answer. I saw it but was hoping in the past 12 months someone figured out a work around the issue.

Now that it's been almost 5 years, is there any progress on reducing the size of the MCR. We can't deploy 2G files.
