Can a standalone copy of Matlab _also_ access a license server (for additional features)?

I'm at Lehigh University, and the University licenses MatLab, but only a few toolboxes. I have a faculty client who's purchased his own stand-alone version of Matlab, but would like, in addition to his own toolbox, to access the additional ones the University has. Is that possible?
