How can I use variable names for the popupmenu in GUI Matlab?

Hay everybody, I am working on some Neurodata and want to plot some of results via Gui afterwards.

The amount of data differs (atm it's about 78), so I wanted the popupmenu to show all of their names.

My idea was to use:

set(handles.untitled1,'String',{name(i)});

because I've an array called "name" 1x78 which contains all the names, but unfortunatly it doesn't work.
