How to draw virtual lines in real time?

Hi i am currently, doing a project on counting people entering the room. And i want to use virtual line to count people. The thing is i don't know how to draw virtual lines in real time. I have Image Acquisition Toolbox,Computer Vision Toolbox and Image Processing Toolbox.
