Vertical Quiver/wind barb plot

I have u and v column matrices 1*300 dimensions each I have z(height) matrix 1*300 I wish to plot wind barb/quiver using u and v on x-axis and height z on y-axis

any help

if I just plot quiver(u,v) it plots quiver with y axis as 1:300............I wish y axis as actual entries in z matrix rather than its index

Any help shall be appreciated!
