Time series analysis with Discrete Wavelet transform
Mostra commenti meno recenti
Hi everyone, I'm new in Wavelet world. But I use matlab for a long time. I have a Tide Gauge Time series (1 point/hour) at La Corugna and I would like to treat it with Discrete Wavelet transform. The method was applied by many authors like S. (type wavelet tide gauge /time series analysis). I tried to use wavemenu, and many different mode of the toolbox but I do not know what way, I must follow.My data are two vectors 1) time 2) surface water elevation at every hour. I use filter to keep only meteo effect and remove tide effects because I want to keep only annual cycle, and semi-annal cycle (seasonnal variations of sea level).
Best, Landon

Hi Wave, If you want to use the discrete wavelet transform through wavemenu, then start wavemenu and select
Wavelet 1-D Then if the data is in your workspace, File -> Import from Workspace
If you have the data in a .mat file somewhere on your machine, you can load the data using:
File -> Load -> Signal
