How to enable uipushtool 'ON' through guide for R2013a?

I have a push button and uipushtool. I have set the uipushtool enable to 'off' by default. I wish to enable 'on' the uipushtool upon clicking of the pushbutton. But I am unable to find a way to access the uipushtool handles. Hence I'm unable to turn on the uipushtool. I use MATLAB R2013a.

Ideally, you would have saved the handle when you created the tool.

Otherwise, use findobj() with 'type' 'uipushtool' to get the handles of the tool. If you had given the uipushtool a unique tag you could findobj() on that tag.

Thanks. I dont find the handles for the uipushtool upon searching the workspace(handles command).

Find attached the snapshot of the creation of uipushtool in toolbar editor(toolbar editor snapshot) and handles structure(handles1, handles2).

If you created it with guide then it has already been given a Tag and you can just pull it out of the handles structure by giving the tag name. It might be something like handles.uipushtool1 if you did not give it a different name.

In any case:

h = findobj(0, 'type', 'uipushtool');

You might need

h = findall(0, 'type', 'uipushtool');

if the handle visibility was set 'off' or 'callback' on the tool.

Thank you. I could find the uipushtool object.

I had deleted the uipushtool and created a new uipushtool with same tag. Hence when look for the handle of the uipushtool I get 2*1 array. How to delete the old one?(It is not there in the Toolbar editor)

Thank you. I tried it was not happening. Anyways, I'll recreate the gui because there are lots of such problems which are not visible in the code. This time I'll do things carefully:)
