Sir/Madam, my excel file can't open in matlab for mac.

Recently, I had matlab for mac. However, when I try to import data into excel file, something must be wrong and I don't know why.

Currently the readers cannot have the faintest idea of what is not working in your setup. Therefore an answer is not possible yet. Explain, what you observe and what you want to change.

MATLAB cannot write xls files on Mac or Linux, and even on Windows it can only write them if excel is installed.

They can, however, write xlsx files for the last few years.
