Difference between Download Installer and Download MATLAB software version ?

If I need to install and activate MATLAB software in my PC, do I need to download only the 'Installer' (option in Install and Activate tab) or I need to download the requisite MATLAB version software first, and then the installer ?

You will need internet access to actually do the installation as the installer will download the products you need when you run it.

no first you need to install the installer, once you enter installation process, it will ask for licence detail. Follow on screen instructions.
